As cliché as it is, as a kid, I was obsessed with The Wedding Planner. It wasn’t the love story that caught my attention— it was the behind-the-scenes magic, the headset, the clipboard in hand, the calm command over chaos, of someone who made dreams come to life. I didn’t want to be in the spotlight, but I did want to run the show from behind the scenes.

That passion led me to stage management, where I spent years learning how to call cues, juggle timelines, corral actors and technicians, and manage moving parts with quiet precision. Theatre taught me how to handle the chaos with grace, solve problems before anyone knew they existed, and support a cast of characters in telling a story—all with barely a whisper and without ever being seen. Stage management, after all, is just event coordination with costumes and a script.

But something was missing. I found myself wanting more, more personal, more dynamic, more real. The first marathon day I spent coordinating a wedding, everything clicked. The magic of the day, the live cues, high stakes, and no room for errors – it felt like a live production, but with genuine love at the root of it all.

Elder Moon Events was born from this fusion of these two worlds, bringing theatrical precision, a holistic mindset, and a calming presence that clients can count on to get the job done. Today, I plan with intention, bring a little whimsy along the way, and help couples and clients find that calm in the chaos, crafting intentional celebrations that are as soulful as they are seamless.
